Did you know these acronyms? I didn’t :(
11.11 is “Singles’ Day.” — the biggest 24-hour online shopping event in the world. It started in China and is all over Asia.
And guess what?
This year, TikTok Shop took a massive share of 11.11 sales.
In the US, TikTok Shop has launched its Black Friday Cyber Monday (BFCM) campaigns, and I believe it’s also about to change your holiday shopping.
TikTok Shop format is perfect for gift shopping—you casually browse for ideas and can instantly buy what catches your eye.
Meanwhile, Amazon is stepping up with “Amazon Haul,” a mobile-only marketplace where everything is under $20.
Even if they lose ground to TikTok Shop, they have more pressing issues to address, ie taking on Temu and SHEIN!
So, who do you think will win the holiday shopping battle in the US?
My bet is on TikTok Shop, even if it is dwarfing Amazon by 10–20x.
Yet, I expect holiday numbers to show TikTok Shop’s meteoric rise in the US market.
What do you think?
